1. Some of the ELA Standards featured on the website are very familiar to me and I have been implemented into my education throughout the years. Two of the standards that I can say I feel most comfortable with is the use of Digital Media to make Presentations (Prezi/Powerpoint) and using the Internet to work on written pieces and assignments. I am certified in Microsoft Office so I've used the applications almost everyday since high school, and I have used online sources a lot to complete research papers and assignments. Some ELA Standards that I don't know as much are the use of digital tables and charts. I am not the best at creating them, but I am open to learning more.

2. Although the CPALMS Educator Toolkit doesn't offer many resources for Special Education students, I know that the use of Assistive Technology is extremely beneficial for students with Special Abilities. Students with Visual Impairments use the assistive technology in order to apply listening and auditory skills, such as discriminating sounds and associating concepts, actions, and ideas with expressive language. I would use this in my classroom because I believe this is an important tool to teach students because it can be used in their day-to-day lives. It is important to use these technologies since they are the most accurate and closest to actually sounding similar to the original.

3. When working on the newsletter decide, I felt like I was refreshing my skills of what I had learned previously when I was getting certified for Microsoft Office. I had forgotten how to create a banner, and how to put information into two columns. I believe this is extremely useful if you are trying to make a newsletter/flyer that needs a lot of space. I had a lot of information for one of my three articles, so splitting it up into two columns made much more space for graphics and images. This will be extremely useful in the future whenever I have to create documents for my students, whether we have a field trip or a formal letter for their parents.
