When I first started using Twitter, I was extremely young and had only created an account because it was becoming a trend to be using the social media platform. It quickly blew up, and I began to use Twitter as a platform to update myself on current issues going on, as well as what my friends were up to. Now, I have been using the Twitter to update myself with educational topics and issues being faced through different counties around Florida. Twitter will be beneficial in my future career because it can further develop Autistic Disorder Educational tactics and I can spread the word about my research.
I believe that the digital divide is currently a huge issue within schools, as those from low-income communities are not provided with the same tools and resources. Since I have arrived to Florida State, I have been able to interact with people from different backgrounds, and many have told me about the technological disadvantages they faced when in public school. Students are now being assigned most of their course work online, which might be challenging for students that may not have a device to work on from home, compared to their wealthier peers. I believe that technology also causes a lot of tension and divide in the classroom, giving students a reason to bully each other because one can't afford the technology.
Two amazing academic software's that I plan to one day implement in my classroom is ClassDojo and Kahoot!. Kahoot! is an academic software used for quizzes and makes it seem sort of like a game, making it fun for students. Classdojo is an interactive academic software that allows the instructor to give the student feedback and improve their behavior. I would like to use both of this software in my classroom to give feedback to my students in a positive way and use interaction for assignments so students are able to socialize.
