I chose to look at my high school's website because it was recently updated and looks super nice. The website was mainly public, with lots of information about the school, its history, and its faculty. The website is a high school that serves students grades 9th-12th, each grade level having their own site resource tab. The site does have a log in for students/parents, which is more for things such as logging into the student portal.





I plan to use technology in the future mainly to advance my research and knowledge as a Special Education Teacher, in order to best serve my students and the families I'll be working with. I would like to create a class site for my students in order to stay in contact and up to date with my students. I feel like this would be the best way to accomplish my goals efficiently because messages via message are sent directly and can be responded to by the tap of your finger. I also hope to use technology in the classroom for students.


After visiting the technology sandbox, I am very interested in one day using the Virtual Reality headgear that they had when teaching others about autism spectrum disorders. One of the applications on the virtual reality game was an Autism Spectrum Disorders mock reality. It showed those with the headset how life looks like in the lens of an autistic person. I feel like this is super essential for future educators, especially those working with students with autism.

I really enjoyed my experiences with Diigo, it was very useful when annotated and creating notes. I liked that we were able to share with our classmates what we were annotated. It allowed them to go back into the article and see which exact section we were annotating. I didn't like how the website what set up though, it was a bit confusing and seemed very old school. I would use this in my classroom if it was a bit more modernized. So far throughout the semester, I have enjoyed blogging about my assignments and my aspirations in the educational field. I have never blogged in the past so this is my first time doing it for a class. I have enjoyed being able to express myself and my thoughts on educational technology, it is great for those that enjoy reflection. I have learned that a blog doesn't necessarily need to be an assignment, but it can be about other subjects such as math. Daymee Sanchez September 19th, 2019 1. I have used Microsoft Word many times as a student and within the classroom as assigned by my teachers. From newsletters to making a schedule using the tables, or making a document to sign at the bottom, there are many different uses for Microsoft Word. I believe that Word is a very useful application, since many students have stopped taking notes and began using Word for notes.
