I chose to look at my high school's website because it was recently updated and looks super nice. The website was mainly public, with lots of information about the school, its history, and its faculty. The website is a high school that serves students grades 9th-12th, each grade level having their own site resource tab. The site does have a log in for students/parents, which is more for things such as logging into the student portal.





I plan to use technology in the future mainly to advance my research and knowledge as a Special Education Teacher, in order to best serve my students and the families I'll be working with. I would like to create a class site for my students in order to stay in contact and up to date with my students. I feel like this would be the best way to accomplish my goals efficiently because messages via message are sent directly and can be responded to by the tap of your finger. I also hope to use technology in the classroom for students.


After visiting the technology sandbox, I am very interested in one day using the Virtual Reality headgear that they had when teaching others about autism spectrum disorders. One of the applications on the virtual reality game was an Autism Spectrum Disorders mock reality. It showed those with the headset how life looks like in the lens of an autistic person. I feel like this is super essential for future educators, especially those working with students with autism.

I have enjoyed using Twitter in and out of the classroom, whether it is on my free time or for blogging purposes. I enjoy using twitter because it keeps me up to date with all kinds of news I wouldn’t have heard of, since I regularly don’t watch TV. Using Twitter can be very distracting at times when in class, but I enjoy the content and feed. I enjoy being up to date with educational events and the new pages I follow for this class.  I enjoyed completing the Web Page Design assignment because it gave me some input on what it’s going to be like trying to design a website for my future classroom. Daymee Sanchez September 19th, 2019 1. I have used Microsoft Word many times as a student and within the classroom as assigned by my teachers. From newsletters to making a schedule using the tables, or making a document to sign at the bottom, there are many different uses for Microsoft Word. I believe that Word is a very useful application, since many students have stopped taking notes and began using Word for notes. My teachers have printed out activities for us to do in the classroom using the Microsoft Word app. I have found Word very efficient when I'm creating a study guide for an exam. 2. Many believe that the implementation of technology into the curriculum will benefit many students, but many fear that the bandwidth capacity and teachers being able to teach students how to use it will be a problem.
